Silk Protein Nutmilk

With the goodness of almonds and creaminess of cashews Silk Protein Nutmilk is delicious over cereal, in smoothies, as part of a favorite recipe or served straight up in a glass. And it packs 10 grams of protein per serving from 100% peas.

I recently got to try Silk Milk from CrowdTap for the first time and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I received a free coupon for Silk's new Protein Nutmilk for free and a cute little Silk truck magnet. There are two kinds of the Silk Protein Nutmilk to chose from, Vanilla (which is what I tried) and 2g Sugar.

I'm surprised by how delicious it is. It has wonderful vanilla taste with just a hint of nuts, it is quite yummy. It's a great alternative to milk and even half & half. I used it in my coffee and it just added a lovely nutty aftertaste. I also used it instead of milk in some of my homemade recipes and again it just adds something fantastic to the taste. I'm extremely impressed with the taste.

However I wasn't a fan of the texture, it just feels wrong on my tongue. That is the only way I can honestly describe it. The taste is wonderful, it just the feeling is off. Although I only notice this when I was drinking it by itself from a glass. Nonetheless if it's in a recipe or with something else I had no problem it. I really loved the added taste it gives. I definitely recommend this Silk and will continue to use it. This post was sponsored by Silk® as part of a sampling activation for Crowdtap.
